We are committed to maintaining a safe community for children by implementing the Breaking the Silence Policy and Code of Conduct provided by the Presbyterian Church of Australia.
The Breaking the Silence Policy calls for regularly screening and training of leaders and volunteers working with children under the age of 18. There are clear reporting procedures in place and the leadership at IPC Randwick regularly review these policies and procedures.
All volunteers serving with children and young people have been interviewed, gone through a criminal record check, receive child safety training and have been members of IPC Randwick for a minimum of 6 months. We have a policy of team teaching with children and young people, meaning that there will always be a team of two teachers present to lead the children.
